Redundancy, as in quality control, can be life or death in a place like NASA, where everthing is checked over 100 times,and there are 50 backups to every computer program, to preserve the lives of the astronauts.

redundancy is a safety net, depending on the nature of it. In the Apollo program, redundancy was a safety feature of all of the instruments so that they all worked. Is this a question of the personal nature or what?

In case something crashes, then there's a backup or identical alternative.

In some high risk situations, redundancy is a way to lower the risk of catastrophic failure.

There is no point..Its just a name for a common mistake..The only common exception is to if you are replying to a sentence using a negative and you are saying that the sentence thats was spoken to you is incorrect you may say something like "I am not going to not go" as in if the other person's sentence is something like" Youre not going to go?" This may seem confusing, but i was trying to speak in general terms
