Can you have tendons changed, toes removed? What would make wearing heels easier?

I have read that surgury can be done to achieve a higher foot arch, however, that is rather drastic when you compare to doing proper excersise that will improve foot arch or even stretching.
The best way is to regularily wear with heels your are comfortable with, you should be able to bend down and touch your toes with out bending at the knees, then over time, increase the hieght, the change will be gradual, but you will be able to get good foot arch and wear higher heels.
If you know a Ballet teacher, ask for a copy of the excerises taught to ballet students to achieve a high arch so they can perform ballet on pointe'.
If you have surgury, you will go for a long time not able to wear any form of fashion footwear , then it will take a long time before you can.
6" heels isteh very highest for the average foot, then platforms are required to achieve a higher heel hight but the angle of inclination remains the same.

I hope that helps

If you've ever had surgery, I find it hard to believe that you would even consider having it just to wear heels? If you haven't, believe me, it is not fun. Any surgery is extremely painful and there are so many risks involved, I can't believe any reputable dr. would allow anyone to have surgery for such a silly reason.
My sister is 4'10" and she is gorgeous! Every man she meets is attracted to her( guess she looks helpless or something because she is so tiny) and wants to date her. So, if you are short, use that to your advantage! Learn to love yourself for the person you are and accept your height.
If height is not the reason, then please think about what you are considering, it really isn't worth the pain or expense for any reason. Just be happy with yourself and don't worry about wearing heels. It is a fact that the majority of women who wear high heels will need foot surgery at some time in their lives. Talk to a few women who have been wearing heels for a long time, and see what they think about the foot surgery that they have had or will be having. Bet they will tell you to take care of your feet and avoid surgery at all costs! Speaking of cost, that is another problem, when I had foot surgery the hospital bill, alone, was over $25,000.00 for out-patient surgery(and that was only 1 foot). The cost was astronomical and guess what? I still have a great deal of foot pain! No amount of physical therapy, ibuprofen, or anything else will take away your pain. These things help to make the pain bearable, but just barely! Stay away from un-necessary surgery, it is not fun! Believe me, I know!!!

Surgery? that is a bit harsh! Just find some heels and practice walking in them. If you are used to heels, start lower and work your way up. Try some three inch heels and wear them for about two hours. Then for three hours. Walk around in them a bit. You will get used to them after awhile and you can get into four inch heels if you want to. Anything higher is not that practical to walk in, honestly.
