It is very possible for him to be dyslexic... the post above that said math issues go hand-in-hand with literacy issues is not correct. They are two separate disorders. However, a student can have both dyslexia and discalculia.

The only way to know if he is, for certain, is to have him evaluated by a certified educational diagnostician. Ask your son's school about having an evaluation done.

It depends what kind of difficulty he is having with literacy. Is the problem the actual reading process or comprehension?

I'd talk to his school first and see if they can do some informal testing or if the school sees your concern.

Dyslexia comes in so many forms that it is hard to say if a child has it or not.

I am education major , how is he struggling ,
1) is he finding reading boring,
2) Is it making sense,
3) When he reads is it like reading sooooooooooomething really stretched out,
4) Is it pronuncation of words,

It's possible. Ask at school where to have him tested. If he is dyslexic, he will improve tremendously after he gets help.

its possible, but most likely not because dyslexics often mix up numbers too..try asking your son
