How do you make a person confess to something that you know they did? Even when you put all the evidence out on the table they still deny it, and come up with even worse excuses?

With any luck guilt will win out and they will fess up. But it depends on what the thing is and what the consequences might be. If he cheated and is afraid you leave him then he may never tell. If he left the sprinklers on and ruined your new patio set then he might eventually give it all up.
But convince him that for you, knowing the truth is better than doubting a lie. You will be angry, but you will get over it and you can discuss things like adults.

good luck!

There are many possible reasons why husbands lie to their wives. One, they don't want their wives to get hurt. Two, they don't want their wives to leave them if they learn about their husbands' philandering. Three, they don't want arguments. Fourth, others which they themselves only know.

When the confession demanded by the wife for the husband to do is about infidelity, if he lies and does not admit that he has another woman, be grateful for still he does not want his relationship with the wife to end. What is hurting is if he proudly admits that he has which is one way of telling the wife that he does not love her anymore.

If the confession is about other things, just respect them for whatever reasons they have in mind not to admit what should be admitted. At least, it has nothing to do with family relationships. But have a heart to heart talk with him and assure him that he can trust you next time that if ever he tells you the truth , you will understand him and be true to that commitment.

About philandering, men are men by nature so we must understand that once in their lifetime, they may give in to temptation. But for as long as they want to keep their family, they will always lie about it and that is one hurting lie that wives must understand.

Make him prove he was wrong ...Dont keep hounding him cuz it will just get worse. You can tell him heres the proof stop denying it and if he still has excuses tell him there is the door dont let it hit you on the way out. and your not going to take the lies anymore you want out. Good luck and hope everything works out for you.

Tell him to just admit what he did and you will forgive him. Even if you don't forgive him when you love someone you can end up believing what he is telling you even though deep down you know the truth you have to get him to say it. If you give in he will hurt you again. My husband cheated on me a couple of years ago and when I confronted him about it he admitted it to me I knew he had but if he would of lied to me I would of believed him because i trusted him that much and I was naive.

if you have all the evidence and they are still denying it, i think you just need to walk away. my ex bf was like that, i could have all the proof in the world that he was up to something and he would deny deny deny. it drove me insane. i still stayed though and in hindsight, i should have just left the first time. just because he wouldnt admit it doesnt mean it wasnt true/

Tell him if he does not spill his guts you will take any kind of priviledges away from him that he loves or sell something of his to someone else for a bargain price!Only thing is, it depends on what he's lying about.

I wouldn't waste time making them confess. You know the truth and that's all that matters. Leave!!

if they deny it after you lay out the evidence in a calm and cool manner, then you are stuck. Men are, sadly, sometimes lost cuases. Get counseling? sometimes you just have to agknowledge that they are stupid and hurtful, and live your life.
