Don't know about easy to say, but Exxon picked its name because he means nothing in any language. There is no language that has a word with a double xx in it. That way they did not have to worry about their ads accidently saying something did not mean to say (Like the Chevy Nova meaning "it doesn't go" in Spanish, or Standard Oil being renamed with the word for "typical" in China.)
