With all due respect to the younger guys, I am curious what a grown man has to say, assuming there are any looking at this question. Here's the deal...you are talking to a woman whom you enjoy the company of. You know she likes you. With the knowledge that she is watching your eyes, you look her up and down. Is this just a guy thing? Does it have any value attached to it?

When I'm with a woman, I respect her and look into her eyes. If she turns away, I may check her out but not blatantly. There have been times later in the eveing when she doesn't want to be respected, and that just means all that respect paid off.

This is an odd-ball, typical teenage girl type question. It's all pretty situationally specific. Don't you want this guy to notice you? Don't you want him to think you're sexy? It's amazing how a sexy woman will highlight her sexiest parts, then be offended when the guys notice. This is why most men learn how to really love women and care, but still not take 'em too seriously.
Here's an idea: if you really want to know where he's coming from, ask him! What a concept! Honest communication in the moment, when it matters. Good luck with that!

No it's not just a guy thing! Women look men up and down to. It's a human thing, to see if you like what you see! Then to decided if you want to continue on to start some kind of relationship.Appearance plays a large part in the attraction game with most people!

As a Mature male I do not Look her up and down.I instantly spot a beautiful feature of her total appearance.Then immediately compliment her on that feature.Like you have the beautiful legs of a model or that blouse shows your curves beautifully.Then while she is basking in the compliment I am taking in the rest.

It means we are interested. Perhaps more physically than emotionally, but it depends on the guy. He's just reminding himself of the whole package before he makes a move.

Honestly, when I see an attractive woman, I really can't help but look her over. It isn't meant to be insulting. It's just the way we "size you up". Men are just more visually oriented.

Me and my girl friends spend hours chooseing the right clothes so guys will look at us. don't you?

I don't know about anyone else, but I inspect. Every little potential flaw. Don't know why, I just do and have. I do even without really knowing it. Sorry, but if you look good, enjoy it, if you don't, well again, sorry.
