I think they should make it age 18 or whatever the law states when a person is an adult. I've read of young brides trying to get a divorce and the courts say they aren't old enough to bring a petition for divorce, so whatever the legal age is to do that should be the legal age of marriage.

Canada over 18

The only one I can speak for is Canada. The age of majority here is 18. Though a justice of the peace or marriage commissioner can refuse to issue a marriage certificate to someone that young. 18 year olds are not known for thier maturity.

canada is 18 but a person can get married with parental consent@ 16
