That's really something his parents should tell him. He really should have been told when he was a child. It's not something to be ashamed of.

How in the world do you know this? If this is really the case you should talk to his Mom and tell her what you know because if you know it's only a matter of time before he finds out.

Well I'm adopted, and luckily my parents told me from the very beginning.
Honestly, his parents need to tell him. That really shouldn't be your call.

I think I would go with not even telling him. His parents should do that and maybe they have a reason why they don't want him to know.

His folks are the ones who should've done it already. I've seen stuff like this really hurt a person. I don't know. How close are you to his family? How close are you to him? How do you know all this? If a family member "knows", then a family member needs to tell him. I think I would want to know, if everybody else in the community "knows".

I think this would be one of those cases where you act ignorant to any such knowledge.
If this is the case, it's something that needs to come from his parents.
How did you end up knowing and not him - and are you 100% sure. If you told him this and it wasn't the case, it would make you look like a bit of a goose.
Maybe he is happy in not knowing???

I don't really think that it is your place to tell him but, maybe you should have a talk with his parents and tell them you know and that you think it would be best to tell him. See what they say.

There are pros and cons to that question,
If you are planning on marring him you may want a health background in case you have children.
If you are not planning marriage I would not tell him just yet.
Why hasn't his parents told him?
You may want to ask them that question and let them tell him.

i agree with everyone that said its up to his family to tell him, not you. im not sure how you found out that he is adopted when he doesnt have any idea, but this is not something that you should tell him at all.

No you don't tell him because it's not your place. His parents should and if not them then they should authorize someone else to do it. I wouldn't if I were you.
Try talking to his parents to see if they wanna let him know. Good Luck.
