Full N' Soft by Maybelline is the best I've tried so far. I am a mascara fanatic, and I've tried like a million cuz it's the one thing I always wear. I get super frustrated when a mascara clumps immediately after I bought it, but full n' soft seems to not clump on me. But not one mascara works for everyone, you may need something else. I like mary kay mascara a little too. You could always go to different makeup counters and ask for their advice on mascara and you have no obligations to buy and most of them do not accept tips. Sephora also has a lot of mascara options.
I also am not a big fan of Great Lash, but it may be just right for you, who knows?

Cover girl has lots of products you could try. I like Cover Girl, Bobbi Brown and I have a black/brown mascara that was recommended to me by a make-up artist, it is very good especially if you have blond hair and fair skin. Other than that I like the Flirt products that they sell at Kohl's. My advice to you on how to stop the clumping is to replace your tube of mascara every three months. To avoid mascara drying out try not to pump the brush in and out of the tube. My information came from clinique. Browse the other sites below for more information. Good Luck!

The new cover girl mascara, that comes in the purple tub! I have it I just forgot the full name of it but it really does work! also if you have a mascara you already really like take the comb side of an eye brow brush and take out clumps with that!

i'd get a somewhat larger high quality mascara. hide lady and maybelline both make large mascara. also, I frequently run the closed tube less than warmth water previously I practice. this way, the mascara is comfortable firstly. try a broom when you practice besides.

Your like me...my eyelashes are huge..and it seems that every mascara i tried would clump up and overwhelm my lashes. you should seriously seriously seriously not listen to anyone else...haha..just kidding, but i think you should try neutrogena weightless volume....its made wax free and wax is the ingredient in most mascaras that makes it clump.try it....you'll love it ! GREAT LASH BY MAYBELLINE SUCKS...BY THE WAY...THAT MASCARA IS LIKE THE NASTIEST ONE I EVER TRIED...I DONT KNOW WHY PEOPLE GET SO HYPED UP ON IT...

Without naming any brands, I will suggest you apply two thin coats of mascara rather than one thick "clumpy" coat. Use a defining mascara...it coats the individual lashes, keeping them seperated and defined. Defining mascara usually appears the most natural.

Cover Girl Lash Exact or Max Factor Lash Perfection both work well because of the unique brush. I prefer Max Factor since it doesn't flake off as much.
