Don't use scissors!! Mayonaise or peanut butter will pull it right out. Just work it into the hair where the gum is and the oils will loosen the gum. I think mayo works a little better that peanut butter, but they both work.

Peanut butter has worked for me in the past. I also have heard that nail polish will remove gum, but I wouldn't use that on a baby! You could also try ice. It will harden the gum and make it easier to remove since it won't be so sticky.

Yes, peanut butter would do it but you might want to take a piece of ice and rub it over the gum until it gets hard. I find it easier to get out that way.

Peanut butter works good, as well as the ice cube and freezing it, but that will hurt the baby when you try to comb it out, try usin mayonaise, or olive oil all three work, but peanut butter is the best way to go

Peanut butter works, so does margarine. Just rub it in and the gum should pull out. Depending on how stuck it is you may have to massage it in a little. This has happened to me before and I have used both methods.

Line up your two other children and calmly tell them the mission they must endure:

They must find a way to get all the gum out of the baby's hair without the baby crying. If the baby cries, that's it. They will be forced not only to go outside and pick their own switch, but each of them will spend the next hour taking turns beating each other with it.

Sit down with a mocha and snicker to yourself, lauding the merits of delegation.

Oh my god this is true. The other day I went to sleep with gum in my mouth and woke up with it in my hair and peanut butter works like a charm!

An Ice cube and a comb! The Ice hardens the gum and makes it less sticky.
