Goober you just have to let it go, I mean there are things that have happened to you...they hurt, but they are never going to happen to you again! Now think openheartedly about all the children that are going through worse today, and how oneday, there might be a child who looks upto you and asks, "will I overcome this? How do I start to heal?" You need to try an have some sort of an answer, you need to try. Do not dwell, there is a worse fate waiting around the corner for many others, you are free....you are not being abused by this event anymore. Dont dwell.

You must confront your nightmares in the daylight.

Sorry to say this may be a job for professionals. There are problems so difficult that it takes help to resolve them. This kind of situation can be resolved on your own, but most the time it takes help.

Can you forgive the person who allowed you to see this horrific scene? Can you forgive your parents for not protecting you from it? If not, seek professional help.

Dreams are unresolved issues that are from the past or another life sometimes. Perhaps you need to vent your feelings. Have you tried talking to a counselor. They can help greatly. If you get it off your chest, you can put it behind you once and for all. Good luck.

See a psychoanalysis. They can help you deal with childhood issues. They might do hypnotherapy or regression therapy.

you could go to your local doctor and ask him to refer you to see a hypnotherapist who can clear those thoughts from your head and help you out or you could see a phsycologist who can also do the same for you

Except for you trying therapy, it would depend on what you saw. I don't think there's one answer for this question. Sorry
