It may very well be the remote control itself that is bad.As a Chrysler mechanic this happens a lot. The fact that it will unlock your doors obviously tells you the battery is good. If I were at work checking your car I would make quick trip to the parts department and get a known good remote before I wasted any time checking anything else.Good luck.

well i would like to have a little more information does the remote lock button not lock the door but the power lock button does lock the door if this is the case your remote entry key fob is the source of your frustration however if both the remote fob and the power lock button both fail to lock the door generally the problem lies within the little electric motor that actuates or moves the lock/latch mechanism.without more information it is diffulcult to isolate your concern and it is usually best to seek the assistance of a professional automotive technician preferably ase certified good luck to you!

Sounds like the door lock switch is bad. but if you can get the door panel pulled back enough to unhook the switch sometimes you can take a pencil erasor and rub the part that sticks into the wiring harness and clean off a light film that accumalates on the prongs that will act like corrosion and keep it from making good contact .Or the switch could just be bad
