Why the hell do you want to know? If he deleted his history, he was looking at porn. That's what he was doing, no doubt about it. Don't be naive and think he doesn't, because he does.

If you really want to find out you can do a search with the built in computer search for keywords such as "sex, girl, ****," ect. It will bring up the registries, but it isn't accurate because some of them could be popups.

Go to the top of your tool bar. There is an icon that looks like a sundial.
That is the history. You can see if it has been deleted or not.
If you have a program called go back, you can find it that way.

A good way to find out if he's looking at porn or some kind of subversive material is to look in the temporary internet files. Click [tools] then [internet options] in the menu tht pops up, then in the middle part of the new window that opens click [setup], then in the new window you can select [view] to look at all the files that your web browser has stored on your hard drive for quick loading if you re-visit a website.
scroll through the list and look for files that are images or videos, you can then double click any suspicious files (suspicious names or origin URL's) to open them and view them. you can also right click each file and select [properties] to find out the website that the file came from.

it depends on how sophisticated your thirteen year old is. while dumping the cache and history works, sometimes residual screenshots can be found in various temp files. one way to backdoor him is to open a email that includes a picture. when you hit download a new screen pops up usually a "windows viewer" see the little arrows at the bottom of the screen? hitting these scrolls through anyother pics on that section of temp memory...
Another way is to "send an email attachment".
when you click the browse button it opens a subscreen that lets you choose where to get the attachment.... see the button that says "recent documents".... Grin
Then you can also get hi tech on him and get a few nifty tools from http://majorgeeks.com
This should keep you one step ahead of him and frustrate his developing hormones properly....

If you have pop-up blocker, check that. Deleting history doesn't delete pages that were blocked. If a search engine was used, sometimes they list "recent searches".

there is i think but unless your like a computer tech and you can get in the main memory part your pretty much out of luck. i would just hope he forgets to delete the history so you can catch him.

Do you have Gateway GoBack or another program like that?
I used to do that to check on my son. Or you can search the cookies in the windows cache.

You can check the websites of the files in the temporary internet files folder or the websites of the cookies. Just go to "internet options" under "tools" and view the cookies and temp. files.
