Many languages are spoken throughout the nations that make up the Netherlands. The Kingdom of the Netherlands is a federation made up of three countries: the Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.

In The Kingdom of the Netherlands, the offical languages is Dutch however, in the provice of Friesland, Frisian is given equal official recognition. Many other languages are spoken throughout the federation without official government sanction. In The Netherlands,the regional languages Low German, Low Franconian, Flemish and Limburgish are commonly used. Foreign languages are also common, with around three quarters of the population speaking English.

The Netherlands Antilles are a group of islands located in the Caribbean, as is the nation of Aruba. In Aruba and most parts of the Netherlands Antilles, the main languages in use are Papiamento, English, Dutch and Spanish. Papiamento is a Caribbean creole, and is considered linguistically significant as it appears to be the only language created in the 20th Century.

The NEtherlands is actually three countries; Holland, Belgium, and Luxembourg--also known as "BeNeLux" if you care--and the languages are Dutch, French and Dutch, and as far as I know any-and-every Euro. language, respectively
