Well, with the Hollister and Ambercrombie, you're on the right track. Make sure you have lots of collard shirts and pleaded skirts. Also, designer jeans and scarves (in the winter) will help your overall look.

Well the word prep comes from 'preparatory' schools. They were like schools to teach you manners, how to dress and match, and things like that so people that went to them got the reputation of being snobby and dressing overly nicely. Also, most of the people that went to these schools were rich and could afford to go to a manners school.
So to be a prep dress really nice, brands like abercrombie and hollister are notorious preppy brands because they are expensive, and yes they are quite stylish. But I wouldn't say I would want to be a prep, maybe dress preppy but don't be a *****.

my town is infested with them. they all wear Ralph Lauren Polo, Lilly Pullitzer etc. they all belong to country clubs, own summer houses, boats, yochts (dont know if that is spelt right) and corvets up the wazoo! god damn. ur either born a prep or not. do u belong to a country club? do u play tennis a lot or golf? do u get straight A's in school and find it really easy? do u try to act "ghetto"? are u a trust fund baby? if not then u most likely arent a prep your a poser. sorry to burst your bubble & good luck i suppose.

just dont be a poser, and wear prep stuff one day and goth stuff the next. If youre gonna be a prep, it is basically signified by the clothes you wear and the people you associate with. But labels are dumb anyways. Just be you

You dont want to be a prep. I hated preps! So snobby and self centered. But if u must be one join the cheerleading squad and dress like them and act all bit#$y

well im gud at that so alwayz match dnt wear skirtz nd never wear dresses wit flowers on it OMG thatz lyk a fashion no no but yea wear skirts that are above ur knees but below ur butt and wear shirtz that match dnt dress lyk a common slut but dnt dress lyk an old hag either juz have nice make up nd accesoies that matches with ur clothes and shoes
