Most companies fail because of the lack of money and time, those are the two biggest killers when it comes to starting a company. Try to plan in advance, be proactive not reactive plan for things to go wrong, you are lucky when they go right. Try and keep to a schedule and stay on top of your business no matter how much it upsets the employees. Remember your are the steam engine pulling the rest of the train and everything falls behind you, if you move fast and hard so will everything else.
