You forgot your password, but you want to change your password to the one that you forgot? Sounds like you don't need to change anything at all. The password is already set to the one you forgot.

Password for what? If your e-mail, use the "forgot password" options available at most e-mail sites. And if you do have to change the password, you can always just change it back to the one you want.

Most sites provide a link which usually says, "Forgot your password?" for you to click. That site then sends you an email giving you your password. It keeps everything private for you, and you won't have to change your password.

That is going to depend on who the password is to. Some companies will just ask you a security questions, then e-mail you your password. Others will ask the question, then you reset it. I choose passwords that mean something to me, my cats name, my maiden name, something like that. Best of luck.

Well, add more details to your question:
1. Password to what?
2. Exactly what did you do?
3. Exactly what do you want?
Then, people can answer your question.

you'll either have to change it, or come up with a new one that you can remember more. Like, your middle name, or your pets name, something like that.
