Don't mow them. Pinch (or cut) them back. If they are still green at the bottom, they will put out new shoots and flower again. Save the old buds to reseed new plants.

In the future, pinch or snip off the dead blooms to encourage continuous blooming.

Daisies are annuals. You plant them, they bloom, make seeds, and die. Then you plant the seeds and they come up next year. Mowing them is not a good idea because you will cut off the seed heads. Also, if you leave the roots, they will often come up from the roots as well, if you don't live in a part of the country with a very cold climate.

If the daisy is an annual, it will die after it flowers. If it is a perennial, it will grow every year. Read the tag when you purchase the next one.

You can cut them down once they have died. They'll come back again next year, even thicker and more beautiful.

wait a week and water them. I know it sounds stupid, but when I was 10 my mom killed a plant on accident and kept on watering it, and it grew again!
