Get out in the fresh air and strech your lungs, walk, jog, go biking. They are detoxing and healing as we speak! Drink plenty of water too! Congradulations on a very smart and healthy decision. I am an ex-smoker and I have great lung capacity-fully healed! Taking yoga can help too; deep breathing and meditation.
Stay away from the Phillip Morris web sites. The bastards!
Keep on breathing, trucking and smiling congradulations!
With Love,
Cara Lynn

Firstly Congratulations on quitting smoking. I too have been smoke free for almost 3 months.

Some of us heal faster than others so I'm sure you will notice an improvement soon but maybe not at the same timescale as others. It depends on how much you smoked etc etc.

Hang in there, you will start to feel better.

Go see a doctor or submit a query at www.q2a.co.uk (just make sure to put your location as London when asked.)

I believe it takes 10 years for your body to return to the same state (or at least a similar state) as it was before you started.

I am only 14 and never smoked in my life, but it depends, how long have you smoked? You should see a doctor. Good luck.

Give it time. This is the first time your lungs didn't have to pull hard to inhale. After you finish coughing out all of those impurities, you should feel like a million bucks. Good luck and PLEASE keep at it.

do you suffer from asthma, etc? you might find it handy if you go to see a doctor and ask him if you can go on a nebuliser, lasts about ten minutes and opens the airways.
