I Can’t Lie To Ya

I can’t lie to ya
I mean I could try
Your the guy who sweeps me off my feet Your the dude who keeps me off the street
My love ain’t fake
You know our love is sweeter than cake
We are closer than PB&J or Bonnie and Clyde
I like you better inside, out side, and mostly by my side

[Chorus]
We where friends at some time
Then we hooked up people started to act like that was a crime
I might have fame and money but you just love tha true me
I knew you use to be my homie
Until you kissed me

When I first saw you
I knew you where tha guy
When become yo girl I promised I won’t lie

Rap is such a superficial genre that lyrics no longer matter. Honestly, I don't like your lyrics, but they are right on par with all other mainstream "artists'" (I refuse to call them "artists") The ever growing shallowness of the public has made so called "rappers" into mere outlets for further stereotyping, since, let's all be honest, "rappers" are generally black, and associated with the "street life". As long as you have the basic "triplet beat" or even simpler "quarter, quarter, eighth, eighth" pattern, integrated, all you need to do is make sure the general public finds it acceptable, and then the rest of the herd will be wooed over. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please, study music, for I hate how none of the so-called modern "artists" know nothing of music.
