It's brat art. It's vandalism and destruction of other people's property. How about if I come into your house and draw my junk all over your walls. Not only that but if you have any integrity as a artist don't you think that your work is worthy of lasting longer than until somebody comes along with a bucket of paint remover and a wire brush? FInd a better forum for your labors.

I agree with some of the respondents to this good question in that graffiti is nice and cool so long as it is done legally. I live in Toronto, Canada and I have seen some interesting stuff. Too bad some of this stuff appears on nice buildings. I personally think that city governments can let graffiti artists do their thing on older buildings as an encouragement of the arts so long as the art work is tasteful and not offensive.

Honestly, as an old fart who grew up in the 70s, I kinda thought the old-school, mural-style stuff was cool....you know, tags done in *spray paint*. ;)

But anymore now, just locally all I see are doofuses running around with magic markers or on *very* rare occasion, a stencil board....it makes me angry, I mean what the hell??

What happened to the art form? What happened to having a pair and taking the time to do it right and *risk* getting caught? X-(

I mean, I have nothing against an old-school artist who paints his tags, ok? More power to you if you are old-school and brave that way...

But the scribblers who just whip out the magic marker and scrawl...they have to go. They need to be curbed face first into some concrete and taught some damn manners.

I'm just saying.

I do not like graffiti at all. My neighbors, my husband and I have spent hours painting over graffiti that was sprayed on other peoples and public properties.

Freedom of expression is wonderful and I'm all for it as long as you are respecting the rights and property of others.

Think about taking art lessons so that you can be truly appreciated for your creativity and artistic talents.

I tried to visit your websites but got invalid syntax errors (not sure what that is?).

Good luck to you -- I hope to see one of your art works in the Museum of Fine Arts someday. :o))

Graffiti should be limited to where only you can enjoy it, or inside a building where others can share your art with you. You could even charge if you like. Leave public and private property that doesn't belong to you alone. Deface you own property, but don't bring down the neighborhood.

Hey, I can understand how you'd be mad if someone paints over your art (because it is definitely art)...so I guess you can say I approve of graffiti, as long as it's not done to property/a building that isn't yours...because even if someone painted a beautiful mural on the side of my house or business, I'd be really upset if they did it without my permission, just like you'd be mad about someone painting over something you value.

I think it's stupid. If you want to do it where it's legal and okay, that's cool. Or your own home. But doing that where people have spent millions of dollars trying to build something nice, and then going there and putting crap on there shows no class, IMHO.

It sucks! If you think it is "art", then do it on a canvas
as an artist would,......not on sides of buildings, trains,
underpasses, etc.

you are a criminal, there is nothing good about that crime. you cause property damage that someone has to pay to clean up. i hope you are caught soon and go to prison for a very long time...
