definately Penelope. She stayed home and stayed faithful for a VERY long time while her man left her to have adventure. She fended off many other men to remain faithful to a man that basically screwed his way across the ocean! SHe used her intellect to solve her problems and to keep the kingdom for her husband. She protected his hearth and home while he didn't give much thought to her.

Penelope got to stay home wooed by the suitors, while Odysseus had to do the hard traveling. Besides the Odyssey is written about HIM.

Penelope.Having to raise a son while Odysseus was off killing Trojans in Asia Minor plus dealing with the suitors who were trying to kill her son and marry her.
