"Crayola" is the landmark brand of Binney & Smith. The company has its own advertising agency that creates all the materials used to promote the product.

You only have two possible routes to success. The first is pretty crazy, but sometimes it works. That is to impress the top executive of Binney & Smith with your wonderful artwork, so much so that he tells the ad agency to use your stuff.

The other is to get the ad agency to look at and then like your work.

Doing THAT is extremely difficult, for so many reasons that I will not attempt to explain them all here.

But the BIGGEST problem is sending your original artwork to the ad agency, without an advance understanding. Ad agencies throw away or send back everything like this. They are appropriately terrified that later someone will claim the agency used a person's original work and did not credit or pay the originator properly.

If you are very, very serious about the effectiveness of your art as advertising or promotional material, the BEST idea is to send the ad agency top managers a LETTER. Tell them you think you have good material they might be able to use, but that you understand they must be cautious. Ask them how you can submit your ideas to the company for proper consideration.

You will probably get back a lovely form letter turning you down.

But if the ad agency is VERY good, it will have a system in place to evaluate your ideas. You are not the ONLY one with brainstomrs - especially for Crayola!

I can only suggest you go to their website and contact them directly. Click on the "contact us" button at the bottom of the page. I didn't check - there may be a phone number there, too, you can call.

Good luck! (I like to draw too.)
