any thing to help me im despret for help i need my splits this year

good question but i will put this question on my watchlist so i can see the tricks too. I want to learn how to do a split too.

Front splits or side splits?

Front splits: - If you're trying to do it with either your left or right foot forward, just sit in the splits as far down as you can whilst watching a 30 minute TV show, each advertisement break push yourself down a little further. Just sitting there in that position for an extended amount of time really does work, not sure if that theory would be supported by trainers, but it worked for me.

Side splits: - Sit facing your cupboards in your bedroom for example, now lie down and split your legs against the doors, so you're lying in a perpendicular angle. Again, sit there for a while and occasionally drop you legs further down, closer to the ground. The gravity/pressure will help push your legs down closer.

It really depends on your age. When I was in gymnastics it was said that if you had not been able to accomplish it by the time you were thirteen it would not happen. Some people never are able to do the splits just because of the way God made them. Don't sweat it and enroll in a gymnastics or ballet class. There is a fake split that looks pretty real if you are trying out for cheer leading. Good luck and remember you are a champ.

Read Bob Anderson's STRETCHING. The trick is to listen to your body and mature your practice without tearing up your muscles. It takes alot longer to heal then to achieve incremental improvement.

i am 14 and for years i couldnt do them then i went to the beach and tried! i have gotten closer and closer with out knowing it and after practicing about 3 or 4 time this year and pulling a couple of muscles i have finally reached them i am so happy
