NO! Look for the numbers 925 to be engraved (usually near the clasp) on real silver.

Im not sure that silver will turn it green, im pretty sure it is usually blackening, if your finger is green from a ring, it may be from another metal. Copper turns green and so if you are wearing an alloy that contains copper, it will turn green when it oxidises(rusts). The sweat and acidic skin on some people tend to have this problem more than others. All I can say to you is to wear gold. I have to in my ears, but I wear white gold as I prefer the look of silver!

No, sterling silver is real silver, and it will not turn your finger green, trust me. I have a s.s ring and I do the dishes and it still looks brand new.

No, only the cheap fake metal will turn it that color. Sterling silver is the best quality too!!!

Usually copper turns to green. i suspect that you have silver platted copper or some such alloy.
