Can go to "free wallpaper" sites, but when I left or right click, nothing happens. Would love to see more than a blank screen before I log on...Can anyone guide, what & how to do the downloading...thanks

I never really go to download it i just see a bigger pictutre and click set as desktop background

They make you use their software to download the pics, but it is easy and sets up an organized database on your computer.
Install it. Run it. It will take you to Webshots where you can get a free membership by giving them your email and some little facts about yourself. You can set up the Webshots Desktop software to put a picture of your choosing on the desktop and if you wish, include several styles of calendars on it as well. I use the site for most of my picture needs. It has millions of pictures all sorted by category. You will love it!

I buy a membership each year cuz I think it is worth it. They have some pictures (marked by yellow stars) that only paid members can get. Also, paid members can download as many pics as they want while free members can only download a few per day. You can use the site to send email cards using their pictures as well.

The "Classic' method is to download the image to your My Pictures (assuming you use windows) folder, then right-click on the image tile and select "Set as Desktop".
A few suggestions:
Right-click on the desktop -> Properties-> Settings (tab), and check your resolution.
When on a wallpaper website, select the size closest to your resolution (when in doubt go higher)
I recommend loading the image in the browser window, and save it from there, windows natively uses .bmp (bitmap) so if you have an option select that format.

Alot of the free wallpaper sites are spyware and wouldn't reccomend them.
go to google.com and do an image search for Wallpaper

Go back to the same place where you downloaded it from. This time click on the save button. Then make sure you save it to your desktop. Look for it on your desktop. Double click to open. Rt click on the open image and left click on "Set as background." Good luck and let us know how you made out.

the best way, u go to Yah00! or Google > advanced Image search > type the name u want who's wallpapers (u can fix the Lage or Medium size also). Otherwise u can go santabanta.com > International Stars. or more more sites....

besides downloading, you could just find a picture you like, and right click it and click set as background i think, or you could even make your own on paint, save it, and then click set as background. i'm not sure if it is set as background, but it has to be something close to it.
