Go to this site:

http://www.srskansas.org/services_list_category.htm

Scroll down to "Child Services."

This is just the welfare office for the state of Kansas. I could give links to the Dept of Health and Environment, the State Dept of Education, The Attorney General, etc etc etc. All these agencies have web pages listing programs and laws that protect children in Kansas.

I can give you the link to the Kansas Statutes web page and you can put in the word, children, and come up with thousands of laws that protect the rights of children within the state.

Now... I have no idea who you are or if this is some sort of joke, but children in Kansas have many rights. If you have a particular question about a particular issue you can write to the State Library of Kansas and ask them:

http://www.kslib.info/ref/quest.html

And for the person who wrote and suggested that you read "What's the Matter With Kansas".... Yes, it's an excellent book on the sad state of politics in Kansas, but the rights of children are being served as well if not better than those in other states.

One more important thing... One of the legal "burdens" of being a parent/adult in Kansas and anywhere else in the U.S. is that if one's minor child screws up the parent is usually held responsible legally and financially for damages. I'm sure many parents would be more than happy to hand over this "right" to their teenage children.

Bill... who has had four pretty decent children and is grateful for that... financially and legally

Because they are grown and they are adults. Children are minors and don't know what is best for them even though when they are teenagers, they think they know everything.
