Squirrels do not make good pets. They are wild animals and need to be kept outside where they can run around, climb trees, and forage for food.

I like squirrels they are fun to watch when they taunt my dogs But Squirrels do not make good pets. I wouldn't have them in the house. They carry vermin.

Squirrels are wild creatures and should be left in nature...a squirrel would not make a good pet.

I like squirrels but they are rodents and need to run and play. They need to follow their instincts and hunt for food. Don't cage one up...it is really not fair to either of you. Besides they bite and when it is time to mate it will get out and not be able to take care of itself. That means it will die and you don't want that. Even if you could tame a squirrel it would tear hell out of your stuff and house...they like to chew. Find a fun pet you can enjoy. Good luck!

in most states it is illegal to own a wild animal, such as a squirrel, you would need a special license and Even then they would not be a great pet

Flying squirrels make excellent pets but they are costly and high maintenance pets.

yes i like squirrels, they cook up real tasty in a number of different recipe's. no kidding I've eaten them all my life, they are real good. as for a pet they will bite the dickens out of you.

my wife and I love the squirrels running through our yard. we have 12 pecan trees, they make nests high in the branches. we usually leave out corn cobs for them...to keep them out of the bird food, and the eat nasty bugs around our yard. sure beats paying the Orkin man.
they are wild animals...and should be admired from afar.
