I dumped the 2-cycle oil gas mix from the gas tank of the push mower. Changed spark plug. Cleaned air filter. Still will not run. What now? For some reason, if pump the safety release handle, it will run for about 3 minutes, if I keep pumping the handle. Then it dies. Did the 2-cycle oil gas mix clog up the carburator? Or is pumping the safety release handle indicating some other problem?

yes, you have a clogged carb. just take it apart and blast every little hole out with wd-40 and it should be fine, ps, changing the spark plug was a waste of time and money because they last for at least 6 years.
