* Bubbles
* Water-guns 3 for $1 at the dollar store.
* If you can borrow/buy a little plastic pool - they love water. If not - do you have a sprinkler? Let 'em play on that!
* Games like pin the tail on the donkey are fun
* Another game - don't spill the beans. Use dried beans - like pinto beans - and let them use a big plastic spoon. Fill the spoon with a certain number of beans and have them walk from point A to point B. The child with the most beans wins!
* Finger paint/pudding. Color vanilla pudding w/different color food coloring and let them 'paint' and eat on their paper plates!
* Make plain cupcakes and let them decorate w/sprinkles
* Silly songs and dances
* Pinatas are fun - but watch how those little guys swing! lol
* A puppet show with socks. Let each kid make a puppet using markers and all your mismatched socks. Glue buttons on for eyes and let them decorate the rest of the puppet w/markers.
* If it's a boy - let them make worms and dirt. Make choc pudding and put it in little cups. Let them add the crushed oreo cookies to the top (to make it look like dirt) and give them gummy worms to put in the 'dirt'. Give 'em a spoon and let them eat!
Hope those ideas help.

Chucky Cheese could be a place for your 2 year old's birthday party. I plan on doing the same with mine. They love it and its cheap. Or, you can always throw a birthday party at your home. Just buy some food dishes, a cake, decorations and a gift for your child. Invite friends, family members and guests to come while encouraging to bring a gift as well. Play some baby music for the kids to party in one room. The adults can sit and talk in the living room. Make up some activities for the children. Good luck planning for your child's birthday!

Two year olds love bubbles. There are all kinds of bubble guns etc that make a lot of bubbles at one time. Get a variety of them. Some are shaped like dogs etc. ( cost about five dollars a bubble machine at wal mart and dollar generals etc.)
Kids love water toys. Get a plastic pool and put water toys in it.
strainers, cups with holes, etc.
Make finger jello and cupcakes.
Take her to a park and do all of these things and invite family and friends.
Our two year old nephew's favorite gift was a bag full of dollar store items....a big ball, bubbles, hand puppets, puzzles, whistle rods, we just set that bag down and he had a ball.
You could also grill hot dogs and hamburgs for the adults.

I made my daughter's favorite meal: spaghetti. and invited family all around her.
and bought her a special cake from dairy queen or get one from walmart--the best cakes.
they dont remember much.
all they want is to eat and open up presents and have family around to enjoy the day.

how about singing songs of Barney or something similar... It'll develop some senses such as earing, speaking as well as kinesthetic abilities.
