Practice in front of your friends and at school to get rid of stage fright. Pick random subjects and try to get a rap going about em. If you watch Eight Mile, thats a good way how, like when they start rappin about crazy **** like the lunch truck. learn the music and the variation of artists styles, how to mix your own beats, maybe find someone to show you. Never give up even if its hard. Go to places where they have rap battles or contests, write your **** down, never throw anything away. Dont follow the mainstream rap either, where its all biatches and ho's.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: Dont listen to the negative ******* that answer these questions. there aint nothing you cant do if you set your mind to it, and anyone who says otherwise is used to failure.

Flip the script girl. Come up with wicked out there synonyms and make it rhyme. The beat is half the game, so make sure you got someone layin down some phat tracks with good melodies. If you can, halfway sing with your rhymes. . .give your songs some melody and harmony. Nothing too pop culture-ish. Set a new standard. Listen to Tech N9ne, Krayzie Bone, and Ludacris. Possibly the 3 most influential rap stars to me. Ride the beat. Give emphasis on the snare. No matter what word it is, just snap it out on the snare. You'll be amazed at how much more you're on time as to when you dont. Record it and try it out sometime. I'm not a rap-star, or a coach for one. . .but I know what makes a good rapper. Maybe if I put my mind to it, I'll accel up there and we'll see each other. Later homegirl.

Start out doing free shows at community events, parties, the local park. You need to be comfortable in front of an audience, and you need to know how to get them hopping and feeling the beat of the rap.
