someone must have asked but why do do flys fly square flight paths round ceiling lights and "fight" others

does my head in, they live for a few days and all they do is fly aimless repeated circles and if there is more than one they have regular mini aerial spats with each other WHY!!!

because they are dumb and dont know how to fly like a fly
