Carl gustav Jung famed swiss psychologist ." Crazy " may not be too harsh, for the man who wrote the book on dementia praecox. It seems to me in order to understand insanity, one would need to be nearly insane and experience it first hand.Of course, coming back to sanity afterward may not completely happen. His collegue in the early years,Sigmund Freud based a lot of human behavior on sexual ideas,Jung however was convinced that just food alone and survival were more important than sex, because people could have sex any time they wanted it,but food was sometimes scarce.Jungs theory of the collective unconcious is a favorite of mine .Very hard to comprehend. It seems that according to Jung, all concious behavior and thoughts are based on a huge collection of subconcious irrational contents deep inside the human[?] mind.We just take small amounts of it and arrange it into something we can understand, language, ideas, etc,so all rational thoughts are derived from irrational contents. It's sanity from insanity.I agree with Jung. This is why when someones brain goes awry,Senile, mentally handicapped, etc, they simply lose the ability to sort things out .So then, was C.J.Jung crazy? To some degree, yes.
