Could Turkey ever be considered as European and if so, should it be given full European membership and if not, why not?

Yes, Turkey is in Europe and in my opinion it should be a full member of the EU. The Turkish people have a long and honorable history.

Turkey is in Europe but noe in EU (European Union). Last I read Discussions have started between Turkey and EU for EU membership.

If Turkey is still a country, then "yes", it is European. I believe that if it has not received a European status, the reason would be it either has not declared a 'crountryship' or that it is too easily usurpial into it's nieghboring counties due to it's lack of solid government.

Part of Turkey is in Europe, the other part is in Asia.
