Simple. It is a form of magic, a combination of filmmaking and storytelling that is both compelling and interesting. And not only to kids, because I have heard of many adults, myself included, who enjoy many Disney films.
By the way, do you know where the Disney surname originated?

IT isn't . Kids dont have money, they dont buy the stuff.
It's popular with parents who think "Well, it's Disney so it's ok for the kids" and they dont have to think about what the kids are watching.
Kids will watch anything. It's the parents who give them the Disney stuff.

It's funny disney channel has fun shows like hanna montana and thats so raven the suite life of zach and cody

I guess that their appeal are the shows.And the fact they do shows and movies based on real life kids.

Disney is popular thanks to it's use of bright colors, good story lines, universal archetypes and the song/dance in the movies.
Oh! and the underlying theme of all the movies.

hmmm...putting on animations that a kid would actually watch...i think the kids brain respond to the disney stuff and leads the children to it...well that is what my moms said when i asked something similer to that...don't know what it means so don't ask

Disney channel is dead, it was good a few years ago now its all crap. Remember that Smart Guy show? Now it's Life With Derek.. total crap.
