Congratulations on your Blessing from God! I have four babies of my own (14,12,11 & 10) all boys. The first time I was pregnant my husband was afraid to touch me during the second trimester. My tummy was growing and if you watched, you could see foot prints or fingers roll across my stomach. It was beautiful to know that we created something that was very much alive and a part of us, but the creepy thing to him was when we were getting it on the baby would move. So my husband started feeling "weird" about sex. It upset me because I didn't know what the heck was going on. Early on we were all over each other but once that baby started looking and acting like he was "with" us, he backed off. But we talked about it because it really hurt my feelings. I felt fat and ugly but husband reassured me that I was hotter than I had ever been. He just didn't want to have sex in front of the baby. So, it's not you. You are absolutely beautiful! Your husband just loves you and his baby so much and he doesn't want to hurt you. Men feel that if they can't have that really physical romp with you when you are pregnant, they would rather not have sex at all. It is out of respect for you and the baby. Just ask him. The key to a great relationship is communication. Seek and ye shall find. Take care my friend. God Bless you and your family!

he really beleives that he could hurt the baby or you. he does find you attractive. my husband did the same thing, so i took him to the doctor and let them explain it. sex actually makes the baby even more confortable in the womb. all the movements are doing is rock the baby just as if the baby is being rocked by his dad in a rocking chair. his penis could not even come close to where the baby is positioned anyway. and if he really needs to know the truth, he is missing out on some great sex. my husband said it is some of the best sex a man can have. and you are beautiful, God says so.

I remember a husband in our childbirth class asking the teacher if he would hurt the baby if he had sex with his wife.
The teacher looked him square in the eye and said," Honey, don't flatter yourself!"
Well, we ALL laughed so hard it was a while before the class could continue!
Actually, as long as you are not at risk for premature labor, sex will HELP. The prostaglandins from hubby help ripen the cervix so it cooperates during delivery. In fact, one of the ways the doctors will stimulate a delivery is by applying prostaglandin gel to the cervix.
You're lucky. Lord, I could never get my husband to leave me alone! It was as though her thought- especially toward my due date- he better take every chance he could before he had to go 6 weeks without.
The reason MOST men are like that is because you now have the body of a MOTHER. Not a sex object. He sees your body growing and changing and is in awe of it.
Probably for the first time, he is looking at a woman he finds attractive, and realizing there is more than sex involved.
Consider it a blessing- you have a mature man for a husband!

i don't have kids and never went through this but, i would have to say he really don't want to hurt the baby. what i would do is take him with you to a doctors appointment and have the doctor tell him that having sex will not hurt the baby. this might help him see, it is okay to have sex. i also heard, having sex while pregnant will make the baby feel like there is love, and help the baby not move around so much, and this is a good thing for you. i hope you try this. good luck and i hope it works for you!

Alot of dads are self conscious about this issue. The baby is completely safe and it still can be a worry issue. Sex can help bring labor on too which is a plus when you are getting close and can't wait. I'm not saying it always works but it does help the labor process along.

you need to trust your husband if he says he doesn't want to hurt the baby then that's what it is. my husband was the same way, but once the baby was born sex was back to normal. good luck and try not to feel to bad!
