I know I'll have a $5 late fee next bill but they won't cut me off will they? My payment is due June 24 and we won't get paid until the 30th.

Probably not but I would call them ahead of time, like now and say you had unexpected expenses, is there a grace period in which you can pay so that you won't be shut off? Maybe they can make a notation in your account so that it won't get turned off.

no they wont. This happened to me when I was out of town for a month.

They will charge you a late fee. You have until the second billing cycle to pay it...which means you have to pay for the next one coming your way including the late fee. If you fail to pay that, then they shut it off.

Hint: Just call Cox, tell them in advance that you will be late with payment and tell them its because you wont have the payment til the 30th. If you have been a good customer, they will waiver the bill and even the late payment if you tell them in advance. My cable company does that for me, so I'm sure Cox can do the same for you.

If you recited a letter saying you are late on a payment, you
need to call them right away and make arrangement's, they usually respect you trying to work with them on this problem. But
if you do not call as soon as you receive you're late notice then they probably would shut you off, That is if there is suck a cable
company.

No. That won't happen till next billing cycle. Then they will send you a letter in the mail notifying you of cut off. After that they will perform what is called a "Soft disconnect" on all digital services and Internet till the balance has been brought back down. After the soft disco they will issue a full disconnect with allot more fees days later. Best advice is to call and make payment arrangements before you go to "soft disconnect".

No way!
There is a grace period. Generally you'll get a ring from them 10 days past due. I love their commercials that exclaim "I love Cox!"

Generally not. They might if you have a history of not paying but usually they give you a little more time to take care of your bill.
