you can plant some peppermint plants in the surrounding area. Ants don't like peppermint. But you have to contain the peppermint as it will grow like a weed and take over

Find the ant hill and pour boiling water into it. Or you can buy some chickens.

we just went threw hurricane katrina in mississippi, on our local news it was mentioned that the fire ants are gone because the 32foot storm surge (salt water) drowned them. I also use salt water to rid them. works wonders. also if you have a wisteria that is running wild dont use bleach it only fertlizes it use rock or sea salt to kill it. salt kills alot of things

I always use a strong vinegar and water mix and if you have a spray attachment fro your hose pour it in and viola! In the house i leave alittle grits in all the corner, so when they eat it they blow up!

ive heard oatmeal will kill them,, they eat it and it expands inside them. so go get some plain quaker oats at store

I have heard bleach will work but have not tried it, sorry.
