I am going to sign up for this riding course through http://www.msf-usa.org and would like to know how long it will take and when I can expect to get a license.

just took the course in ohio. it was great. first day we watched videos and had classroom for a few hours, day 2 we rode on the course for a few hours, day 3 we rode on the course for a few hours then immediately took our test. they give you the paper that says you passed. take it to the dmv and voila, youve got your license. that simple'

Like they said depends on the state. You will enjoy the MSF course, if you take the beginner they teach you all you need to know. We teach the MSF course in the Air Force and have taught people who have never sat a bike to ride in three days.

That will depend upon which State you are in. In PA, you have to obtain a permit, pass a written test, a driven test and then you get your license. (About 3 months)

It all depends on how quick you feel you can do it. You can take your writen test for your permit, and set up for the drive at the same time. It's all up to you and how your skill level is. Don't rush yourself, take your time and be safe. Know your bike and you'll do better. Hope this helps.
