Yes, as long as the Notary is commissioned in the state where you actually sign the document.

I just closed on a property sale in Texas and had the documents notarized in MO where I currently live. No problem at all.

Yes, as long as they are a notary public where you actually sign the document then they can sign as a notary public. ie you can't use a OH notary when signing in IN.
