KB specializes in VERY economical homes, which usually translates "cheap." Remember, you might be living in this house for 20 years. Repairs are far more costly than doing it right the first time.

KB in NC has a good reputation and beautiful homes, although I havent built mine yet through them, I work with 3 people who have and they love their homes. I think it will generally depend on what state you are in.

KB is NOT a good home builder , centex homes is a very nice company

Lot's of horror stories with KB in San Antonio, Texas. Perhaps they've gotten their act together but the stigma of shoddiness remains making it difficult to sell.

bad, at least they are better than Richmond American Homes, dont even go a mile near there houses, they are crap. KB are ok they have cheap houses.

they built the worst home ever. my house exploded three days after construction killing my 5 children and my wife
