I dropped my 2 week old (250 dollar) sprint phone in the pool today. Is it possible to get it to work again, and how?

If you carefully take it apart, dry it out with a hair dryer, and put it back together, it MIGHT work again. No guarantees, though.

I put two Nokia phones through the washing machine on two separate occasions (d'oh!) and saved one of them this way.

Water doesnt kill a cell telephone, corrosion from the water drying slowly in it, is what reasons maximum problems. That and turning it on while it truly is moist. right this moment you ought to pull out the battery and the different removeable factors (like a sim card, the back cover, holster) dry it as maximum suitable you could with a towel and dad it interior the freezer, ideally in a paper sack. Run all the way down to a keep like walmart and seek for some silicon packs they put in issues like footwear and digicam circumstances to maintain them dehumidified, ask the guy working there if its ok in case you're taking some domicile, they are going to often ok it. once you come domicile, positioned those silicon packs in a ziplock dishevelled, positioned the frozen razr in that bag too, seal it up and positioned it interior the refrigerator, no longer freezer this time because it defrosts interior the dishevelled, the packs ought to absorb any ultimate moisture from interior the razr. migth take some days however. dont be tempted to tug it out and reassemble it till you're particular its dry if its executed good, this ought to keep your telephone, besides as your wallet, as those little b@st@rds are approximately 3 hundred dollars to interchange with out coverage

sorry dude. its gone. we can all just hope its in a better place.... and you could always try the warranty. luckily, it being new, the warranty (if there is one, and there should be, if it was that expensive) would still be in effect and you could get a new one, for free of charge. that is, if you kept all those papers that most people throw out anyways. lets just hope you haven't taken out the garbage in awhile... happy hunting!
