I know this is not a pet question, but cannot find an animal section for wildlife. I got to hold a baby deer last week. We had workers on our hill farm in Tennessee and one of the workers caught a baby deer. I got to hold Bambi and it is an experience that I will not forget. AWESOME!

I held it for a couple of minutes and then released it back to its mother. She was watching us the whole time. I will probably see it again because she has nested pretty close to the house. I wish there was some way that I could mark it so I would always know it when I see it.

I personally do not hunt and never would. I think animals are made to enjoy in their living form, not as a sport for someone. Thanks for all your answers. It was definitel something special.

I have been to a Wildlife Rehab center many times, but they keep the deer in an enclosure that you peek into without the deer seeing you. The only deer I have been close to lately is the one that hit my Jeep.

how exciting, I hope you will never hunt deer after an experience like that. They are so beautiful! We have quite a few of them here in Missouri and I cringe every year when hunting season starts.
