If your in your 2nd trimester,how many months are you?

Its really confusing to me because if your 13weeks pregnant your in your second trimester and you should be 3 months but people told me once you get to the second trimester your 4 months.

2nd Trimester: 4th, 5th and 6th months
3rd Trimester: 7th, 8th and 9th months

13 weeks is the first week of the fourth month. Second trimester.

tri means 3, so a trimester is 3 months. If you are in your 2nd trimester you are about 3-4-5 months pregnant.

Okay, it is confusing...lol....tri means three, so every three months (or 12 weeks) is a new trimester....we count a month as 4 weeks though, and in that case pregnancy is really 10 months long instead of 9.....and your last trimester is longer than the first two...

actually the tri mesters are broken down in 3s if you are in your 2nd trimester you are between 4 to 6 months pregnant. Your 3 trimester begins at 6 months.
