Why is this so? All of my indian friends never have layed a hond on there partners.

If you are from the UK there was an article 3 weeks ago about an indian gentleman who raised his hand 2both his daughter and wife and were promoting a charity if anyone would has similiar trouble to contact the charity or to contribute money maybe that is why it is in the news

so whats a hond...and what kind of Indian's are you referring to....people from the sate of INDIANA.....or native American Indian's or the Indian's from India......you have to be clear for the correct answer.....

Because in traditional villages in North India, men set their wives on fire when they want a new wife and a new dowry. In modern, urban areas where your friends probably originate, this would be as horrible as in the US or EU.

I haven't heard that specifically. You can find instances of domestic violence in any culture.
