Jane and David are calculating the AREA of that circumference. Seinchin, OMG and Paul are correct. Their answer of 8pi is the right one.
EDIT: for the girl who called retarded to someone... mmm.. no. For the person who asked this question: just check the units in the answer. If we are talking about centimeters, your answer MUST be in centimeters and NOT in squared centimeters.

Pi is the value you get from the ratio of the circumference of the circle divided by its diameter.
Pi = c/d
where c is circumference and d is diameter.
Therefore, if you solve this equation for c you get:
Pi (d) = (c/d)(d)
Pi (d) = c
Now substitute in your specific values.
Pi (8) = c
the circumference is 8 (Pi)
Pi (r^2) is the formula for the area of a circle.

Since the circumference is Pi * R^2 we first determine the radius. The radius of a circle of 8 is 4
so C = Pi * 4^2 or 3.1415 * 16 or 50.264

The formula for finding the circumference is multiply the diameter times Pi or 3.1417. So 8 times 3.14 is around 25 or your anwer 25.13

Ok.... some people on here are retarded. The way to find the circumference of a circle is pi x RXR (or R squared).
If your diameter is 8, R or Radius is 4.
Multilply that by itself or square it and you get 16.
Multiply 16 by pi.
TADA!!!

The circumference, C, of a circle is equal to π times its diameter, so if the diameter is 8, then the circumference is 8π, or about 25.1

C= pi x r2
radius=4, since radius is half of diameter
radius squared= 16
pi 16 or 3.14 times 16 and that's too much work for me.

diameter of a circle is 2*radius*pi, or pi*diameter
so the diameter is 8 pi, or 25.13
