okay, Clinton was a great president, except for the monica lie. but the media spent more money exposing him as a fraud for that than they did exposing Bush and the Enron scandal. I don't see how the media is "Liberal-Based". I think they just do what will make them the most money by attacking everyone in power with whatever they can. can i get a serious answer to why conservatives are constantly whining about how "Liberal-based" it is?

The media does focus on who is in power and usually will go out of their way to say how everything is wrong and will give cancer. When Clinton was in office it was the right wing conspiracy media.

The media is a bastion of liberalism. That's not just some peoples' viewpoint, it is the results of every study on the matter. People in the media were asked to identify their political views, and about 80% are liberals.

I live in Chicago, and we have two newspapers. The Chicago Tribune is by far the better of the two, but it has too many articles written by the likes of uber liberal Molly Ivans rather than someone like the more conservative (and fair minded) Kathleen Parker. The Chicago Sun Times is just for semi-literate coupon clippers. Anything they write is for people with an 8th grade education, so conservatives don't read it.

The Clinton episode was just a media feeding frenzy. It was shameless. I was no Clinton supporter, but I bitterly resented our President's attention being forcibly taken away from important issues (like terrorism). We must wonder how much more he could have accomplished if it weren't for the relentless attacks.

The fact that the liberal media joined in like a bunch of frothing at the mouth hyenas does not diminish the fact that they are extremely liberal. These journalists to not respect the tradition of self-restraint their profession once observed. Even though JFK had many dalliances, the press did not expose them.

Nowadays, they just want to expose the next big story and become the next Woodward & Bernstein.

What you omit in your analysis is the fact that the press turns a blind eye to almost any misdeeds done by fellow liberals. For example, Al Franken can say the most despicable things, day after day, but if Ann Coulter should say something controversial, it's front page news.

The irony is that Al Franken's comments are just vile lies, while at worst, Ann Coulter's comments are just unpleasantly worded truths.

a 2004 pew poll found that reporters define themselves liberal at a 34% rate. they found conservates at a 7% rate. so almost 5 to 1 liberal basis. and the enron scandal happened during the Pres. Clinton adminstrition but was persucted during the Pres. Bush adminsration. also Enron gave over 2 million dollars to democrats during Pres. Clinton adminstration. and for Monicia lie it was about perjury and obstruction of justice on the Paula Jones case. which is funny that other Americans who have been found guilty of perjury in similar situations are sitting in jail. and it is also funny that the media framed all these stories from the point of view you are speaking from. instead of the facts.

Most of it is due to the public being more vocal when they are liberal and the media picks up on it. The homosexual population is relatively small in comparison to the heterosexuals, yet they are heard more. The liberal churches are given more news even if they are relatively small in comparison to the conservatives because they make news and are controversial. The media is also very concerned with rights, especially the freedom of speech, so it should be no surprise that they support other freedoms too.

Liberal Biased not based. That is just a way to attack valid criticisms against conservatives. You are right about the media, they are not liberal or conservative, just sensational. Whatever will get people to watch. Now with indecency fines at 325,000 a shot and bible thumpers sitting at home waiting to call up for any little thing....expect it to be more of the same.

IF the media were liberal -based...

When Bush had his gay lover
Jeff Gannon pose as a reporter
it would have been big news like
the Monica crud....but sigh....
ALL media is now run by Bush
which means media is controlled
by Big Brother....
