Abusive behavior toward others, no matter if their opinion differs from your own.
Taking care of each other, every man and woman on this planet has a responsibility to each other.
Making sure the Innocent's are protected. Born or unborn.
Human rights's do not begin in other countries or in a government somewhere. They are topics that should be addressed in the workplace, with our neighbors, the classrooms, or even standing in line at the grocery store.
Try some of these ideas: Help a pregnant teenager study for school tests or offer to do volunteer babysitting so she can work.
Call on an elderly person everyday to make sure they are alright.
Refuse to answer questions about race, sex or religion on questionnaires or surveys.
Don't judge others before judging yourself.
But, most of all, love others as you do yourself.
Don't participate in belittling jokes or pranks.
Respect is earned, not given. But, by our example; others may follow.

women's rights in the third world

education/literacy
health and medicine
disease control
pollution

That's a start at least. If you pick just one and study it and try to come up with a few solutions, you will have made an amazing contribution to this world of ours.

Right now I'd have to say stopping the genocide in the Sudan and in the Congo. Humans seem to have lost all of their rights there.
