No, any fancy goldfish needs a minimum of 10 gallons even when small. They are very messy and pollute the water in a small tank too fast. They also can grow quite big and if given a small home they will become stunted, their insides will still grow though.

Goldfish actually aren't low maintenance, especially bubble eyed fish but once you learn how to take care of them properly it gets really easy. If you want to learn how to take care of them and let them live the way they should, happy and healthy and for over 10 years, atleast, then check out this link. http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/

1 gallon minimum - even if the fish is small enough for a 1/2 gallon tank now, he will be too large eventually. He will survive in a 1/2 gallon but he might jump out. A 1/2 gallon bowl is large enough for a Betta. You might be able to trade him in at the pet store...

Absolutely not! Fancies can get to eight inches and need roughly 15 gallon each, though a 30+ gallon tank with efficient filtration is recommended

You need a large outdoor pond for goldfish. They will get quite big and freeze for winter and thaw and come back to life in spring.
