I just got a Creative Zen Vision M a couple weeks ago. $299 or less. BestBuy opened in my town and I had a 10% off coupon sitting on my front door. Bought the ZVM the next day.

Features include:
30GB
Really easy to use interface
Plays MPEG-2, WMV, and some MPEG-4 files
Plays MP3 and Windows Media Audio (WMA)
Has a built-in FM radio and radio recorder
Displays album art
Plays Audible.com audio books (with recent firmware upgrade)
I think it has a better video display than the iPod (it definitely displays more colors >260,000 vs 64,000)
It supposedly has longer battery life on a single charge than the iPod 30GB (4 hours of video versus only 2 hours on the iPod 30GB).

But the most important feature for me is that it works with subscription music services like Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go, Rhapsody To Go, or Napster To Go. For as little as $10 a month with a pre-paid one year subscription, you can fill the player with all the music that will fit and swap it out for more music any time you want.

I figure the Creative ZVM will hold about 5000 subscription tracks recorded at 192kbps. If I bought the music, I might have spent more than $5000. At $10 a month, $5000 will get me more than 41 YEARs of music service. What a bargain!

Right now I have over 1000 subscription tracks from over 400 different bands on my player. If I bought the CDs for that 400 artists that could cost me over $4000.

Every couple days or so, I just add more music whenever I want without even thinking about it. Oh yeah, I like that album and that one and that one too. Download. And I still haven't filled that player.

Try looking for Creative products. They are cheaper and can hold a good amount of stuff. Check them out at www.creative.com. I dont think anything is over 300 bucks.
